If you forget your password you can reset it by touching any of your mushrooms in-world and selecting "Reset Web PW" from the menu.
3) Add products to the mushroom
Edit your distributor mushroom in-world and go to the "Content" tab of the dialog. Drag the products (objects or notecards) you want to distribute from your Inventory to the Content of your distributor mushroom, e.g. Blue Box, Green Box and Yellow Box below.
You can ignore the 2 scripts in the distributor mushroom, but they must not be removed.
Close the edit dialog and touch the mushroom, this will show you a menu:
Select "Web Update" and the hovering text above the mushroom should show the number of products and notecards and that the distributor mushroom is active.
The products you added to the mushroom will now be listed on the web site each with an "Inactive" status which means they are not yet ready to see or distribute.
Only objects or notecards which you have Copy and Transfer permissions for can be distributed, and others you add to the mushroom will be ignored. Your customers receive whatever permissions you set for the next owner.
4) Set up the products on the web
For each product that you added to the distributor locate it in the web site and update the name, price and texture UUID.
For the picture you want to use for the product poster, locate the texture in your inventory and copy the UUID, e.g. "Copy Asset UUID", before pasting it into the "Texture UUID" in the product form on the web site.
When the product is set up check the "Active" checkbox and click "Update".

For reliable distribution you should use a number of distributor mushrooms in different regions and ensure that each product you sell or give away is in more than one mushroom.
After adding or changing the products in your distributor mushroom you will need to touch it in-world for a menu then select "Web Update".
From the menu you can switch on or off the information hover text above the mushroom, reset your web password, set the mushroom offline so it will not deliver any products it contains or go to the web site.
Distributor mushrooms may be removed from the list if the in-world mushroom is deleted and at least 25 minutes have passed (and the mushroom is listed as "Unresponsive").
In-world you can change the name or the distributor mushroom and even the size and appearance if you want. The active important parts are in the scripts.
You can put any number of objects and notecards in a Distributor Mushroom but it is probably worth keeping it under 100 as the object in-world object Content can get a bit slow to update when it has too many items.

|Unresponsive||The in-world vendor is not communicating properly with the web site and it may have been deleted.|
Vendors may be removed from the list if the in-world vendor is deleted and at least 25 minutes have passed (and the vendor is listed as "Unresponsive").
When a vendor is rezzed in-world for the first time you will be asked for permission to debit your account with a message like this:
The vendors system will not work without debit permissions and to use the system you will need to trust Faeline Merchant. This is the same for most vendor systems in Second Life.
|L$ are debited from your account under the following circumstances only:|
|1)||If your customer pays you for a product which is not possible to deliver they will be refunded the amount they paid in full.|
|2)||If you use the free vendors commission will be charged (but not for full no-commission products, or for the noticeboard or demo delivery products). 5% of the purchase price (rounded up to the nearest L$1) will be paid to FaelineAgent after successful delivery of the item.|
Faeline have been conducting business in Second Life since 2009 under the brands Faeline Kitty, Faeline Fairy and Faeline Merchant and we have thousands of happy customers.
Affiliate vendors are ones you give to someone else to sell your products for a percentage of the sale price. You control the products selection, pricing and the amount that the affiliate gets.
|An affiliate has the following properties:|
|Percentage||The percentage of the sale amount that the affiliate retains from 0% to 95% (5% commission goes to FaelineAgent).|
|Notifications||If checked the affiliate will receive IM notifications for each sale.|
You will need to set up the percentage for each affiliate separately.
Before a new affiliate rezzes their first vendor you can still set them up as an affiliate on the Affiliates list using the "New" button. You will need to enter their name and key which can be found on their in-world profile. If set up in advance the vendor will be fully active as soon as it is first rezzed.
An affiliate vendor has copy, modify and transfer permissions so it can be rezzed at multiple locations. The affiliate will always receive the same percentage of each sale.
The affiliate can give the vendor to someone else to sell your products, however if you do the next affiliate will not automatically receive the same percentage as the one you originally granted. By default they will receive nothing and you get 95% after commission.
When an affiliate vendor is rezzed in-world by the affiliate for the first time they will be asked for permission to debit their account.
The vendors system will not work without debit permissions so they need to be granted.
|L$ are debited from the affiliates account under the following circumstances only:|
|1)||If the customer pays for a product which is not possible to deliver they will be refunded the amount they paid in full.|
|2)||Commission of 5% of the purchase price (rounded up to the nearest L$1) will be paid to FaelineAgent after successful delivery of the item.|
|3)||A royalty is paid to you by the affiliate who retains the percentage of the sale price set by you.|
|The following settings apply to the whole Faeline Merchant vendor system:|
|Business Name||The business name is used in the subject of notification emails and as the default product group.|
|Email Address||The email address to receive email notifications.|
|Sale Notification||Email confirmations sent upon delivery of a product that your customer pays for.|
|Free Item Notification||Email confirmations sent upon delivery of a product such as a notecard or free demo.|

|Default Buttons||The default buttons texture will be used for notecard and/or demo buttons on all vendors when "Default" is selected on the template. Select from standard buttons or "Custom" to use your own texture UUID which must be exactly 36 characters (you can use the 'Copy Asset UUID' in your viewer).|
|Default Navigator||The navigator texture is used on multi-product vendors to select the products not shown. The default navigator texture will be used on all vendors when "Default" is selected on the template. Select from standard navigators or "Custom" to use your own texture UUID which must be exactly 36 characters (you can use the 'Copy Asset UUID' in your viewer).|
There are many different variations of vendors, noticeboard and product delivery objects available in the Faeline Merchant product range. Each is managed from the web site and uses central distribution technology.
Commission is paid for free vendors and affiliate vendors at 5% of the purchase price rounded up to the nearest L$.
Free item delivered from free vendors will still pay commission at L$1 each delivery.
You will not be charged commission if you buy from your own vendors to test them, or when an affiliate buys from their affiliate vendor.
Commission is not charged for delivery of the demo or notecard vendor buttons.
Commission is paid to FaelineAgent.
Vendors need to be active or offline before scripts can be updated, not in an "Inactive" state after first rezzing.
Rez your "Faeline Merchant Script Updater" coloured ball in the same region as your vendors or distributor mushrooms then touch it. Be sure it is rezzed in the correct land group or it might get ejected.
The updater will locate all your Faeline Merchant products in the same region and will visit each in turn to update the scripts.
You will need to grant each vendor debit permissions again after the script update, but otherwise every vendor or mushroom should automatically come back online.
Once complete the ball will move to you and turn grey; it can then be deleted. You should see the new script version numbers on the web site.
